First release on my ambient label: Dreamers by Hayk Karoyi

As my introduction to Cyberspace, I'd love to share the album Dreamers by Hayk Karoyi with you, which is released today on cassette aswel as digital. This is the first release on my own label which is a passion project coming to life.

About the label:
Dreamers is the first release on my label Transambient Tapes, which features ambient musicians from overshadowed locales and lesser known scenes. (The initial focus area is Turkey-Caucasus-Central-Asia and South-Asia). While traveling this region over land, I met ambient musicians from every country. Interestingly, they were all navigating local challenges to be able to create the music they want to. Some faced political turmoil, others didn't have any scene to operate in. Though all artists I spoke with had a strong motivation to create their own kind of music.
With Transambient Tapes I'm making an effort to unite these artists under one label and to offer them the international stage they deserve.

About the release:
Hayk Karoyi comes from Yerevan, Armenia (currently residing in Málaga, Spain), and is traditionally an Armenian woodwind instrumentalist. He has a magical way of expressing his emotions in music, blending modern electronics with traditional woodwinds. For exact production questions I'd have to direct you to Hayk himself. I'd love to invite you to listen to this fresh release, because I think it's quite a unique work from a truly unique artist. It's composed as 2x 30min with the specific purpose of releasing it on cassette.
