Okay, so I think I'm going to start posting my thoughts or whatever so I can keep track of life, and I think this is the best place because people so far seem awesome. I will be posting in my native language and also English because I want to start finding my Spanish people around here, and I still want the rest of the community to enjoy my posts (if there is anything to enjoy, lol).
Okay, today has been a silly day. I am starting a company and finally found the first product I want to produce. You guys would love this company. The main idea is to give a big Fuck you to AI and embrace that vintage, handmade look that is getting lost due to the modernization of basically everything.
Don’t get me wrong, modern is nice and important, but is it necessary to push that aesthetic so hard? I call it the “deyassification of things.” Let me explain.
You know how in your cities (more commonly in European cities, as far as I’ve seen) the street lights, benches, and even trash cans are intricate, beautiful, and give identity to the place? Like in London, the ones next to the Thames have fish details and stuff, and in Barcelona they have that really nice Gaudí vibe. And now, all the newly built parts of cities have concrete blocks as benches and metal cylinders as street lights. It fucking sucks visually.
And it’s not only in the streets; in houses, the goddamn millennial minimalism has eaten everything. And let’s be real: modern does not have to mean plain.
Funny enough, the way I discovered this whole Cyberspace thing was through Reddit, via the cyberdeck community, another thing I recently found and absolutely love. People are making these gorgeous devices out of chests and old vintage boxes, and they’re actually functional too. It’s so inspiring.
I don’t know, man. I just really hope we get back to a trend where everything was pretty and we embrace that again lol.
