Natural barrier of the land: grey owl hounds

While trying to come up with the design for a owl fursona of sorts, i liked to imagen a type of owl very different from the rest of them, living at the edge of their world, close to the gates of a toxic dark fungal forest that engulfs the territory.

This bird has feathers that are tighter to their body than the rest of their fluffier familiars, revealing a thin body with carved bones. They sport a grey coat of feathers, and when they are standing on the ground hunched like they do,they twist their long neck to scan the horizon, so that their two bright yellow eyes may meet their prey which they will not lose for anything in the world - then dive quickly after a short flap that only elevates a bit their massive bodies, ten times the size of a human, landing in a single strike they snare the body with their talons and bite with a long crooked beak.

I may share more of my worldbuilding in the future :)
