Just realized the last thing I posted was about an upcoming surgery, then nothing lol. I lived! I've got some post-op nerve pain happening still but it isn't constant. Just seems to kick in when my fibro flares or I get a migraine. I'm slowing working out how to manage all that.

Really glad to have had it done. It's amazing how a wonky gallbladder can make your meat suit feel like it just doesn't quite fit right all of your waking hours.

New thermostat! We're warm for the winter now. :D

I think I've been running Linux (bazzite/fedora/kde) for a month now? I hope I never have to go back. It's all comfy now. Still learning what I can do with it but the things I used for work were already kde software and my current favourite game (Baldur's Gate 3) has a native Linux version so I'm well set up for the foreseeable. Huge quality of life improvement for me.

Heat eventually came on, but went off again once the temp outside dropped below -17 Celsius. Never had quite this much trouble in our building before. I'm self-soothing with David Lynch.

Between finding this place and moving entirely to Linux on the desktop I feel like I got into a storm shelter just in time before the tornado blows through lolz.

It's shitting snow in my town right now and our heat isn't coming on, which happens at the first snow every dang year no matter how much they check it beforehand. At least it's not a matter of the landlord or building manager ignoring the problem, but it's still frustrating.
