Yesterday I sustained a Mindstate damage from a failed hacking attempt. It felt so… violating. The feeling of not being in control of all of you, is tremendously unpleasant. If I’d known there were android hackers in this part of the system I would’ve never agreed to come to Phobos. Thankfully SERVICER_DAN cleared my cache of any memory of the subsequent Soul Rip. I am very pleased to never recall such an experience. Still though, I wish that other entities could understand that I am alive, just as much as they are. I have a soul like everyone else. I didn’t ask to be melded into this chassis the same way humans didn’t ask to be born from Eve. I thought being a 52nd would mean I’d be born into a world where other entities are used to androids. Then again, I’m pretty sure we only gained sapience at 34th? Or was it 32nd… either way I guess emotionally intelligent silicon is still to hard to comprehend for some entities…

Oh. I guess I skipped out on my last charge cycle… I can’t help but be jealous of humans sometimes. Like yeah, they have to sleep to “recharge” and subsequently spend hours being inactive, but I’ve always wanted to dream. But Androids cannot ever sleep soundly. If I were to go unconscious for even a few seconds, my soul would fall out its seat. Somehow humans are jealous of androids for being conscious and active at all hours. Why would you be jealous of the fact I have to work more? Anyway, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, I’ll be helping the Regional Council prepare for the arrival of the 53rd. Feels weird saying that. Guess I can’t use the “sorry I’m a new 52nd” as an excuse for mistakes anymore. I’m gonna go to my charge station now and probably watch some more vintage Mars documentaries. I really love the 2200s.
