Let's roll some dice

Hello Cyberspace,

It has been brought to my attention that some of you would like to play a TTRPG. I would love to accommodate that request by offering to DM. I'm making this post as an effort to recruit some players. I need two to eight players. I believe I have one player already. If you're interested in playing, please send me a c-mail.

Rules Set and Rules:

We have some options to go about playing a TTRPG. I want to DM a game of D&D 5.5e. I have many years of experience DMing 5e and it'll make things a lot easier for me. I also have a lot of resources I can share with players such as dndbeyond, digital books, etc.

Basic table rules include: be kind to each other. If something makes you feel uncomfortable, let me know ASAP. Be receptive to other people’s concerns. Be understanding to each other and know that mistakes will be made, that's cool. Come to the virtual table with an open mind. Be candid with your feelings so that others can understand you. We are all here to have a ton of fun.

If you have no idea how to play but want to try, please join my table. You have to know absolutely nothing to get started. I will be very happy to guide you along your game and help you with character creation. If there are any veteran players at the table, I can almost guarantee they'll be happy to help as well.

Game time:

I want to start by offering a once-a-week 3~ hour session that we can start sometimes between 15:00 to 19:00 UTC, Monday through Friday.

Play options:

I'd like us to utilize the RPG cIRC chat to play so that folks can follow along as we play. However, I am open to eventually moving to another platform that allows for audio if that is something everyone would like.

ed_osc7, I want to play! What do I need to do?

After reading all my nonsense above and you still want to play, send me a c-mail. Veteran player or not, I would like to chat with you about your character choice and kind of understand what you're looking for out of this game. I would like to not wait weeks or months to figure something out. So, in your c-mail to me let me know:

1. That you're interested in playing.

2. Times and days you are available.

3. Character race and class you are interested in playing.

4. Any major things that are off-limits for you.

5. Let me know what you want to get out of this experience.

As soon as I get enough people, I'll close recruitment and we'll get started on finding a time and day that works for everyone. Hopefully, we can start playing this coming week!

One final note: If you have a group of friends and you want me to run a one shot for you, I'll be happy to DM for the too.
