KDE keyboard shortcut Cheatsheet homage

Yo

TLDR, like keyboard shortcuts? Running KDE/Plasma and missing the muscle memory? This might help.

There's probably a very small slice of a Venn Diagram of people that like/have used Mac OS a bunch, and more recently have dug into Linux. Slice that a bit thinner because this'll only apply if they happen to also be running KDE. And like keyboard shortcuts. And probably a few other things.

I jumped on the Bazzite (and Kubuntu) bandwagon a couple of months ago, and it has been great. One downside (coming from mostly mac-land) is that (nearly) all my muscle memory of keyboard shortcuts was now of no use.

So I got my pal Claude to build me a thing. Hold down a couple of keys (you choose), and an overlay will show up, telling you all the available shortcuts in the currently focussed window. Probably. If it's a well-behaved app. And you're running Plasma/KDE

So far three four people have tested it, and nothing has exploded, give it a go, or don't.

Jank it up a bit, I'll endeavour to fix any bugs. Some apps it just won't work for though, not without hideous implications or a bolt of inspiration that has yet to strike.

I threw up some more theory etc behind it too, if anyone's interested:
