Dreams; Reflected

I exist in mirrors
And she exists in dreams
In the midst of their visions; we met somewhere in between

I showed her who she was
She showed me who I could be
In the blink of an eye of a firefly she disappeared from me

I now exist in clouds
Dissipating into steam
As I drip to the ground; no peace is found as I plummet to the stream

I hear she is now a seagull
Gliding over the green glass sea
I hoped if I became a sudden storm; she would soar right into me

I am now a tear drop
Falling from a newborns eye
As I reflected mothers grace, it seems, I found her floating bye

She is now a melody
Rippling through the breeze
As I rested on newborns cheek she slowly flew to me

I thought I’d never find her
I’ve been so many things
I now feel her all around me in the song that mother sings

She said "I have never left you"
"I was with when you were smoke billowing above the trees"
"I was with you when you were the pollen falling off of bees"

"You have been so lonely"
"Oblivious so it seems"

…"Do you not remember ...?

…I started off this existence living amongst the dreams"
