Day 3: I still dont know how to plug a fan in

The local llm build continues. Cooling is by far the most unexpectedly annoying part for the graphics cards.

I decided to swap from axial to centrifugal fans to get better performance, but hit a bit of resistance.

The centrifugal fan is 4W higher than what my mobo allows for without potentially damaging something. I attempted to just underpower it, but on start up the fans hit 100% power (but quickly die down). Still, i don't want to hit that risk every time i start the rig.

So ordering a molex adapter so i can directly use the power supply instead.

Now after 3 days, 3D printing a custom fan shroud, getting the right type of fan, order some adapters, and upgrading the mobo.... i might be up and running tomorrow (for sure this time).

I genuinely never even knew the mobo wouldnt support a fan. So cheers to paying down the ignorance debt sooner than later!
